Mrs. Nicurl Fletcher-Newton

Mrs. Nicurl Fletcher-Newton is a dedicated education professional with over 26 years of experience in the field of teaching and educational leadership. She began her career as a classroom teacher, where she served passionately for 19 years, shaping young minds and fostering meaningful learning experiences. Six years ago, she transitioned to the Ministry of Education, where she currently serves as an Early Childhood Education Officer, supporting quality standards and advancing early learning initiatives.
Mrs. Fletcher-Newton holds an associate degree in Teacher Education (Primary) from T.A. Marryshow Community College in collaboration with the University of the West Indies. She also earned a bachelor’s degree with (Hons) in Early Childhood Education and Family Studies from the University of the West Indies, and a Master of Education with a specialization in Curriculum, at the St. George’s University reflecting her strong commitment to academic excellence and continuous professional growth.
Although Mrs. Fletcher-Newton’s an early Childhood Educator, she has also enjoyed adult and continuing education at Grey’s certification and training center as well as at the T.A. Marryshow Community College Teacher Education Department as an adjunct lecturer.

This belief underscores her dedication to empowering educators, strengthening early childhood practices, and positively impacting generations of learners here in Grenada.
